Syracuse is a city in Davis County, Utah, United States, between the Great Salt Lake and Interstate 15, about north of Salt Lake City. It is part of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. Syracuse was incorporated on September 3, 1935. The population was 24,331 at the 2010 census an increase of 14,933 (+158.9%) citizens since the 2000 census.〔http://www.census.gov/popest/cities/files/SUB-EST2008-49.csv〕 The city has seen rapid growth and development since the 1990s. ==Geography== According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.71 square miles (14.01 km²), all land. The city is located on the eastern side of the Great Salt Lake.
